I am an experienced Therapist and Psychologist with a doctorate from Guy's Hospital, London. I practice Cognitive Analytic Therapy (CAT) but work in an eclectic way, based on the client's views and needs.

CAT is a form of therapy which includes CBT practices and theory but also looks at old learned roles (beliefs) and patterns we may be repeating which are not working well for us. Therapy is collaborative and the client very much involved. As with all therapies, the relationship between the client and therapist is fundamental. On this basis, if the client does not come away from sessions feeling that they have been useful, meaningful or helpful, then we think again about best ways forward.
